Partner Code 128979 for AvaTrade: The Real Story

People message me about partner codes all the time. Always the same thing: do you get discounted fees or free trading?

Short answer: no. AvaTrade charges zero website commission on forex. You pay the spread. That's the cost. A partner code doesn't touch it.

The code 128979 activates the bonus program. Bonus money added to your account based on deposit size. Nothing more complicated than that.

How much bonus do you receive?

A $1,000 deposit gets you $200.

Put in $2,000, get $400.

$5,000-$9,999 earns you $1,000 bonus.

Deposit $100,000+ and you can get up to $14,000. Most people won't hit that.

UK traders funding in pounds start at £160 on £800. Goes to £11,200 at the top.

You can open an account with $100. But you need $1,000 to qualify for bonus.

The field is hidden

When you're signing up. Once you've filled in your phone number, there's a small link saying "Have a Partner Code?". Click it. A text box appears. Type **128979**.

People overlook it constantly because it's hidden.

Sometimes it shows as invalid, don't worry. Complete your registration. Reach out to your account manager first. Ask them to add code 128979. They do this manually all the time.

The bonus has conditions

A trading volume condition applies.

About 10,000 units for every dollar of bonus. A $200 bonus means trading 2,000,000 units before that $200 unlocks. Takes a while if you trade small. Active traders hit it quicker than expected.

Your own money stays yours. Withdraw it whenever you want. Bonus funds remain locked until volume is met.

Something useful to understand: locked bonus funds still contribute to your margin. Allows for slightly larger trades. For someone still learning, that buffer can keep you in the game long enough to figure things out.

Newer traders who want decent regulation and multiple platform options. Traders interested in AvaProtect trade insurance.
